I’ve been using a 3D scanning for about two years now, mostly with a Revopoint POP 2 because it was affordable and decent for small statues. The raw mesh is always a mess though, so I spend hours cleaning up holes and fixing distorted surfaces in Blender before it’s printable. That’s when I usually check https://www.gambody.com/ for reference because their game models are already watertight and pre-supported, so I can compare my scanned mess to something that actually works. My advice is to scan only simple hard surface props first, like a game controller, not organic stuff, because the post processing time can easily double your project.
